Shipping & Pickup

Most items will ship within a few days to 3 weeks since our reproductions are made to order and hand cast. FedEx ground transit in the United States can take up to approximately 5 business days. For Alaska, Hawaii, and the U.S. territories and internationally, the transit time is longer depending on distance from our location in Massachusetts.

Please open and inspect items within 48 hours of delivery to check for damage in transportation. Further information about what to do when a piece is damaged in transportation is below under “What if a cast gets damaged in shipment?”

Shipping costs are not included in the price of the item. Packing and insurance are included in the price of the item. Customers in the contiguous United States receive free shipping automatically at checkout (see possible surcharge details under “How do you ship large items in the U.S.?”), and customers in Alaska, Hawaii, and the U.S. territories and international customers can find shipping options in the checkout process. Shipping is automatically calculated at checkout. Customers in the contiguous United States receive free shipping. Note that an oversized item – typically an item weighing more than 150 pounds when packaged – will not populate a shipping rate because it may have to ship via a freight carrier. In this case, please contact us for a quote. If ordering by phone, fax, or email, we will calculate the shipping.

Yes, we offer free shipping to customers in the contiguous United States. Please see possible surcharge details under “How do you ship large items in the U.S.?”. If ordering online, shipping is automatically calculated at checkout.

Since we only ship via FedEx, your shipping address cannot include a United States Postal Service post office box. Please use your street address.

Packages with a value over $500 are automatically designated as requiring a signature by FedEx. If you do not want this delivery feature, please make a note in your cart prior to checkout or let us know when ordering by phone, email, etc.

We ship most items via FedEx Ground for commercial destinations and FedEx Home Delivery for residential destinations. These services are not express shipping and can take up to approximately 5 business days. If you think you might require express services after the 1 to 3 week fabrication time, please contact us to receive a quote and to make your purchase.

We ship oversized items – typically an item weighing more than 150 pounds when packaged – via a freight carrier. See “How do you ship large items in the U.S.?” for details.

We ship oversized items – typically an item weighing more than 150 pounds when packaged – via a freight carrier. Due to increased prices for crating materials and for freight shipping, items requiring freight shipping may incur an additional fee. You will be contacted after checkout if so. If the item does not populate a shipping rate at checkout, please contact us for a surcharge quote. You will be responsible to pay any additional fees including but not limited to missed deliveries, delivery upgrades, additional services, etc.

Yes, the Caproni Collection uses FedEx to ship internationally. Shipping options can be found in the checkout process. Please note that international shipping estimates may not be 100% accurate and may be subject to a shipping surcharge due to supply chain issues like increased prices for crating materials and for freight shipping. You will be contacted after checkout if so or you may contact us for a more accurate estimate. If the item does not populate a shipping rate at checkout, please contact us for a surcharge quote. Customers may also request that we ship via FedEx’s ocean freight service for large orders (and note that the transit time is about 30-45 days). Please note that all duties and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.

Items must be opened and inspected within 48 hours of delivery to report any damage. Although we ship our casts with great care, on the extremely rare occasion that one arrives damaged, we would work with you to find a resolution. For customers in the contiguous United States, please email us with images of the damage and damaged packaging. We would provide a replacement upon return of the damaged cast and issue a claim to FedEx. FedEx may pick up the damaged cast and packaging from you to examine the damage and return it to us. Please save all original packaging for inspection. For customers from Alaska, Hawaii, and the U.S. territories and international customers, please email us with images of the damaged cast and damaged packaging.

Yes, you can pick up your order at our gallery in Massachusetts during business hours. Choose this option at checkout.
