Historic Catalogs

The owners of the Caproni Collection (formerly the Giust Gallery), world-renowned sculptor Robert Shure and Kathleen Shure, are committed, with professionalism and passion, to preserving old-world methods of individually reproducing Caproni casts.

As part of the effort to preserve the history of P.P. Caproni and Brother, we will publish available original catalogs on this website. P.P. Caproni and Brother catalogs are unfortunately quite rare. In our best effort to represent the complete body of work of P.P. Caproni and Brother, we will appreciate any information you can offer on catalogs not listed. If you have a P.P. Caproni and Brother catalog not listed here, please contact Kathleen Shure at contact@capronicollection.com.

If you are interested in the artistry and genius of the historic catalogs themselves, you can read our blog post exploring their creation.

As the digital catalogs are not copyrighted, please reference the Caproni Collection (except where otherwise noted) as the source if you copy or use this historical material.

If you are searching for a particular piece, we suggest beginning with the catalog from 1911 as it was the last large catalog printed and is therefore the most comprehensive. This catalog (as with most of the others) is organized by category in this order: Assyrian and Egyptian sculpture; figures; busts; reliefs; animals; masks; anatomical studies; nature studies; ornament; architectural details; more anatomical studies. There are miscellaneous items in between.

Enjoy this historical journey.
