"Lincoln in Sculpture" - 1909 Caproni Circular

Posted by Kayla Fletcher on

Take a look! 110 years ago today, on February 12, 1909, P.P. Caproni and Brother published a special circular to celebrate Lincoln’s centenary. The double-sided circular included busts of the president by Bachmann, Milmore, and Volk and also featured the life-mask created by Volk.

Thanks to Andrea Felice for the images of the circular! (FeliceCalchi - plaster casts & sculptures, www.felicecalchi.com)

Warm regards,
